Matt Swanton

Matt Swanton

Lead singer and guitarist

At 9 years old, Matt was inspired to pick up the guitar after going to shows at The Bull Run in his hometown of Shirley, MA. He spent his teen years practicing in his bedroom, playing in high school groups, and sitting in at blues jams. He continued his musical endeavors into college, attending the University of Massachusetts Lowell, where he earned a degree in Sound Engineering and performed in various ensembles alongside his peers. In 2023, he released his debut self-titled album "The Matt Swanton Band" and competed in the International Blues Challenge representing the Boston Blues Society, where the band made it to the semi-finals. He has shared the stage with the likes of Mike Zito, Albert Castiglia, Papa Chubby, and Ronnie Earl. Matt and the band are happy to welcome their second release, "Growing Pains."
